Helen Wilkinson has recently retired from her role as Engineering Stores Team Leader at Kimberly-Clark in Barrow after working for the company for 40 years.

Helen hasn’t looked back after taking on a job at Kimberly-Clark as a teenager. Now, as she reflects on her career, Helen is keen to encourage others to follow in her footsteps.

Helen is a keen walker and plans to make the most of her retirement by staying active.

“I’ve always enjoyed walking in Barrow – my favourite route is walking through Furness Abbey and ending up at the Abbey Mill Coffee Shop,” she said.

“One of my colleagues has joined the Ramblers so I might consider joining as well. I’m also planning to take up golf.”

Helen is looking forward to more holidays abroad in the future but has nothing but fond memories of her 40 years at Kimberly-Clark.

“I had a great team and worked with some brilliant people over the years,” she said.

“If I could do it all over again, I would.”
