Stuart Jeschke, 11, from Ulverston, was one of the children who enjoyed the event, particularly the high-tech gadgets being showcased.
“The VR (virtual reality) headset was my favourite,” he said.
Frances Wildgoose, 14, from Ulverston, enjoyed seeing her favourite school subjects from a more interactive point of view.
“I really liked learning more about biology,” she said.
Kim Smith, from Siemens, hailed the event as a “great success that surpassed all expectations”.
“It is fantastic that people have taken time to come,” she said.
“I also think it is important that so many parents have come with their children, so they can see what kind of opportunities are out there as well.”
