Windermere School has finished the 2017/18 academic year with another exceptional set of International Baccalaureate (IB) results.

In total, thirty five students took the IB, twenty-seven of whom took the IB Diploma, averaging 33.4 points. The mean world average in 2017 was 29.95 points.

Just under half of the cohort obtained 34 points or more, with four students taking their place on the School Honours’ Board, having secured 40 points or more. Kacper Micek scored 43 points, Ella Handy and Daniel Heidland scored 41 points and Tara Bryson scored 40 points.

Headmaster, Ian Lavender, was delighted with the results, saying, “There were some very happy students in school this morning following this wonderful set of results.

"I am especially pleased for the large number of students who have secured their university offers, and particularly for the success of those who took the International Baccalaureate Career-related programme, as these results have been outstanding.

"I would also like to mention the staff, who offer exceptional levels of support to the students. They should feel very proud."
