Spanish comic heavyweights have been added to the growing global line-up at The Lakes International Comic Art Festival taking place in October.
Artists Jordi Bernet and Paco Roca will join American Joe Kelly and Canadian Bryan Lee O'Malley at the event, which is again being supported by Choose Cumbria.
Festival patron and Milnthorpe-based artist Sean Phillips is looking forward to welcoming the latest additions to Cumbria.
He said: "I've been enthralled by Jordi Bernet's art since first seeing his Torpedo series in the early 1980s.
"His art can be sexy, rugged or funny, but it always looks effortless.”
After making his professional debut at the age of 15, Jordi has gone on to have his work published in Spain, Britain and the US and win numerous awards.
Paco Roca represents the new wave of Spanish comic artists, and is best known for his graphic novel Wrinkles, which was adapted into film in 2011.
Festival Director Julie Tait said: "We've emphasised the international appeal of comics and comics creation since the Festival began, and these two creators will help us develop that in 2016."
The event takes place in venues across Kendal from October 14 – 16.
