Retail, leisure and sport is the theme of the next Carlisle Ambassadors meeting next month.
The meeting takes place on September 6 at the Shepherds Inn and will include 22 local, national and international companies showcasing their businesses.
Speakers include Michael Stewart, of Virgin Trains, who will talk about the leisure side of the business, Graham Jenkins, of Pioneer Foodservice who will talk about retail and the company's new build.
Also lined up to speak are Ray McBride, of Cumbria Wheelchair Sports who will be joined on stage by champion wheelchair basketball player Nat Pattinson and Darren Crossley, deputy CEO of Carlisle City Council.
Carlisle Ambassadors is a collaborative network of businesses, organisations and individuals who work to make a difference to the city.
It organises the popular “Give a Day” event, enables greater business collaboration within the county, and the bigger collective goal of raising the profile of Carlisle to make it a city of lifestyle choice.
It now has 166 members, with 18 new members joining since the last meeting.
Michelle Masters, manager of Carlisle Ambassadors, said: “We are excited about having such a range of fantastic products and services to show at this next event.
"There are over 230 people booked in, and we are looking forward to another lively, positive meeting."
