A GP Recruitment Fair is being held in Cumbria this month to encourage more doctors to live and work in the region.
The drop-in event on Friday, June 17 will showcase the diverse roles and career opportunities available within General Practice.
Caroline Rea, Director of Primary Care for NHS Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “This is an excellent opportunity to speak to the GPs already working in Cumbria.
“There are various new opportunities for doctors being developed in the county and we can help create roles within General Practice to match their ambition.”
Choose Cumbria will attend the event to promote the range of career and lifestyle opportunities available in the region.
Content Manager Claire Croskery said: “We’re looking forward to meeting doctors at the GP Recruitment Fair and showcasing the fantastic work/life balance that Cumbria has to offer.
“GPs who are already working in Cumbria often tell us that they’d never work anywhere else.”
NHS Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is hosting the GP Recruitment Fair on Friday, June 17, in collaboration with Cumbria Health on Call (CHoC) and other partners.
The drop-in event will take place from 1pm to 8pm at Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership, Redhills, Penrith, CA11 0DT.
