Sarah Millican is back on tour with her brand new show, Outsider, and has included dates in Barrow to the run.
The Queen of Comedy will be playing The Forum, in Barrow, on Saturday October 17, and tickets went on general sale at 10am on Friday, March 27.
The new show is her most “grown-up” to date: in the past when you put Sarah Millican outside, she asked things like: “Why? Where is the taxi? Do I need a cardie?”
But things have changed. Now she has outside slippers, though she still can’t tell if it’s an owl or her husband’s asthma.
Since winning the 2008 if.comedy Best Newcomer Award for her debut solo show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Millican has fast established herself as a household name.
She has had six nominations for British Comedy Awards who crowned her The People’s Choice: Queen of Comedy in 2011. She has also been BAFTA nominated in 2013 and 2014 for her work on her self-titled TV programme of which she has made three series.
Her countless appearances on top comedy shows include QI, Mock the Week, Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and has chatted to Graham Norton, Jonathan Ross and Alan Carr on their respective chat shows.
Millican has completed three sell-out national tours, and begins her fourth later this year, with Barrow one of the early stops on the run.
Tickets will be available from the box office.
