Food fans will flock to Ulverston for the Taste Cumbria festival this weekend (May 28 – 29).
More than 50 food and drink producers from across the county will trade at the event, which is organised by CN Events in association with Cumbria Life magazine and supported by Ulverston Town Council.
Festival organiser Marie Whitehead, Director of CN Events, is delighted to see Taste Cumbria increasing in popularity.
She added: “There is an insatiable appetite for great food and drink in Cumbria thanks to the variety and quality of the produce on offer here – and we are very proud to be a part of it.”
As well as a street market and demonstration stage on Market Street, there will be entertainment and family activities at Ford Park.
Choose Cumbria will be attending the event to promote the benefits of living and working in Cumbria following the campaign’s recent success at the INMA Global Media Awards.
Claire Croskery, Content Manager for Choose Cumbria, said: “Events such as Taste Cumbria showcase the best food, drink and entertainment the county has to offer. We’re keen to raise awareness of the fantastic careers available in the region and let visitors to the festival know that Cumbria is much more than a holiday destination.”
The first Taste Cumbria Food Festival took place in Cockermouth in 2010 and the event, held during the last weekend of September, now attracts almost 40,000 people.
