NHS to promote health and wellbeing at Westmorland County Show
Representatives from Bay Health and Care Partners will welcome visitors to their marquee at the Westmorland Show on Thursday, September 14 for a fun filled, informative day.
The event will feature a variety of NHS organisations, including Choose Cumbria partners Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT), University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT), NHS Morecambe Bay CCG (MB CCG) and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
Amy Lee, GP lead for Kendal Integrated Care Community, said: “The Westmorland County Show is a brilliant way for health professionals to reach out to the local community.
“This year is set to be our biggest marquee yet and we’ll need every bit of it to fit in all the excited stallholders!”
Paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service will be on hand with an interactive teaching ambulance to answer questions about the service they provide across the region.
There will also be representatives from the eye service, physiotherapy, local GP practices, community family services, smoking cessation, maternity and Kendal organ donor town.
The Westmorland Show is located at the showground near Crooklands, Kendal.
