Three days of awards saw hundreds of full-time students being applauded for their achievements at a Barrow college.
Furness College's further education awards celebrated success in a number of areas, including outstanding academic excellence, against all odds achievement, achievements in Maths and English, behaviour and college contribution, and 100 per cent attendance.
Students from all curriculum areas attended the awards, which were held in the Barrow college's conference suite.
Emma Hosker, 24, of Barrow, an award winner in engineering, said: "It was a great new event and it was great to be noticed and applauded for our achievements. It was really nice that as our names were called out, our classmates really got behind us to celebrate with us."
Manat Patthamasing, 20, of Barrow, also an award winner in engineering said: "I also really enjoyed the event. It was great to be recognised by our tutors and to hear them cheering as we collected our awards."
Andrew Wren, principal and chief executive of Furness College - a partner of Choose Cumbria - said: "It has been an outstanding year for Furness College with our students excelling on their courses and demonstrating success in a broad range of skills and expertise. I am passionate about encouraging students to showcase their skills and to demonstrate how well they have done.
"The FE Awards events have provided the perfect platform for this and they were enjoyed by students and staff alike."
