They are accompanied on the bill by an array of up-and-coming names in contemporary music, including Northampton rapper Slowthai, Bristol punk band Idles and producer duo Maribou State.
Festival director Andy Smith is excited for Kendal Calling’s 14th year.
"We're thrilled to be heading into our 14th year with no less than five headliners," he said.
"From anticipated headline slots, to Kendal Calling favourites, legendary sing-along dance anthems and spotlight spectacles, this year's line-up is one of our most diverse yet."
Mr Smith added that in addition to the headline acts, the 2019 line-up features "exciting female fronted-bands and shining new stars."
"We cannot wait to welcome our Kendal callers, new and old back to the fields."
Mr Smith predicted that it will be "an unforgettable weekend amongst the rolling hills."
"The countdown is officially on – we’ll see you in the fields."
