Kendal College, a partner of Choose South Cumbria, will celebrate the achievements of its apprentices and local employers at an awards ceremony tonight (Tuesday, March 15).
A team of Level 3 Business and Administration apprentices have organised the college’s first ever Apprenticeship Awards to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week.
Catherine Connor, managing director of Aspire Photography Training who employs three apprentices, will open the ceremony.
Kelli Horner, the College’s Work-based Corporate Client Manager said: "We are proud to raise aspirations and show the value that we place in our apprentices by awarding them with recognition of their achievements.
“Whether their achievement is related to their personal or practical development, our awards ceremony highlights the impact this has had in their workplace.
“Working closely with the apprentice's employer means we can clearly demonstrate the benefits that our apprenticeships bring to their sector and the training and education industry.”
Guests will enjoy a two-course meal, prepared by the College’s award-winning hospitality students, before the presentation of more than 20 awards.
Kendal College is Ofsted “Outstanding” rated and offers over 32 apprenticeship programmes from Level 2 to degree level.
