The ceremony, held as part of National Apprenticeship Week earlier this month, recognised the effort and dedication that apprentices and their employers put into their jobs on a daily basis.
The event was hosted by Kelli Horner, Works Based & Corporate Client Manager, and assisted by a team of Level 3 Business apprentices, who put their project management skills into action.
An inspirational speech was given by past apprentice Stefan Pryor, Project Manager at James Cropper PLC, and Kate Casey and Amanda O’Brien from University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, who employ significant numbers of apprentices. Both organisations are partners of Choose Cumbria.
Michelle Clement, Business Tutor at Kendal College – also a partner of Choose Cumbria – said: “The Apprenticeship Awards evening is a great opportunity to celebrate our apprentices’ achievements and highlight the continued support they receive from our dedicated tutors. We look forward to seeing them progress throughout their apprenticeships and into their chosen career.”
At the event, guests enjoyed a two-course meal prepared and served by the College’s hospitality apprentices.
