Striking photos of Wastwater in The Lake District have been used to boost a multi-million pound tourism campaign.

The images, featuring a runner against the backdrop of the Lakeland fells, are part of VisitEngland’s #OMGB ‘Home of Amazing Moments’ campaign.

The Llama Karma Kafe at Brougham, near Penrith, also appears in the marketing drive.

The campaign, backed by Cumbria Tourism, encourages people to share images of their holiday moments in the UK using the hashtag #OMGB.

Choose Cumbria is keen to promote the career and lifestyle opportunities in the region to visitors to the county.

Content Manager Claire Croskery said: “Many people think of Cumbria as a holiday destination but not necessarily as a place to develop an exciting career. We want to spread the message that you can live and work in one of the most beautiful places in the UK and enjoy everything that Cumbria has to offer all year round. With the investment taking place in the region, it really is the best time to consider relocating to Cumbria.”
