Holker Hall & Gardens at Cark-in-Cartmel, Grange-over-Sands opens to visitors on March 28, revealing new garden features as well as a number of popular events for the whole family to enjoy.
Now the home of Lucy Cavendish, Holker Hall dates back to the early 1600s and is noted for its warm lived-in feel.
The gardens are named in the RHS Top 10 Woodland Gardens for 2015.
The spectacular Holker Garden Festival - a celebration of the best of gardening, countryside, food and crafts takes place May 29-31.
A Chilli Fest takes place on September 12-13, with an array of specialist chilli companies from around the countr.
The festive Winter Market returns on November 7-8.
Jillian Rouse, head of visitor services at Holker, said: “We’ve made some interesting subtle changes to the gardens and for the first time will be open on Saturdays making Holker the perfect choice for weekend family days out or meeting up with friends for lunch and afternoon tea in the courtyard café”.
2015 season open dates are from March 28 to November 1, Wednesday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays. The Hall opens 11am to 4pm, gardens open 10.30am to 5pm and the café, gift shop and food hall open from 10.30am-5pm.
