Holker Group appoints new Managing Director
The family-owned Holker Group has welcomed a new managing director to their racing and leisure division.
Based on the Holker Estate in South Cumbria, Stephen Cooper took up his new role on January 8 after relocating from Chester with his family.
He had previously spent six years at Manchester United Football Club, initially heading up their in-house catering operations and latterly as head of service delivery at Old Trafford.
Mr Cooper said: “It is a privilege to be part of such a dynamic and diverse business as Holker and indeed the guardian of the racing legacy that Cartmel holds.
"I hope to grow the Racecourse business without in anyway compromising on its unique character and enhance the reputation of Holker Hall as one of the finest historic houses in the country with an exceptional and evolving visitor experience.”
Stephen brings extensive knowledge and experience to the Group as a highly commercial and motivated leader.
His background in in operations and events management, including several years at Jockey Club Catering and Aintree Racecourse, means he is committed to driving the highest levels of customer service and care.
