The Holker Group - a new partner of Choose Cumbria - will lift the lid on its success and reveal its ambitions for the future at an event celebrating family business.
Chairman Lucy Cavendish and Chief Executive Duncan Peake will provide a unique and in-depth insight in to the well-known group of businesses in the latest Cumbria Growth Hub Family Business Network Insight Event next week. They will talk to delegates about the opportunities and challenges faced by The Holker Group as a family business, including supply chain, planning, recruitment and skills.
Lucy Cavendish, who follows in the footsteps of her father Lord Cavendish of Furness DL, a dedicated Chairman for over 42 years, said: "My vision is to create a sustainable business that will continue to benefit the wider community, whilst upholding the traditions that my family have valued for generations. This will involve investment in all areas to maintain a dynamic business that can react and adapt to ever-changing economic conditions."
The Holker Group is made up of a number of successful businesses in Cumbria, including Holker Hall & Gardens, Burlington Stone, Burlington Aggregates, Holker Estate and holiday partners along with Cartmel Racecourse and estate agents Corrie & Co.
The event takes place at The Grandstand at Cartmel Racecourse on April, Thursday 28 from 10.30am to 12.30pm. For more information or to book a place at the event call Coulson Associates on 015394 82410 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
