Nurses from across Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust came together on Wednesday, July 6 to celebrate the care given by nurses in the region.
The event, held at Rheged in Penrith, marked the launch of a new national nursing framework and recognised the contribution of nurses across Cumbria.
Dr Sara Munro, Deputy CEO and Director of Quality and Nursing, said: “There has never been a better time to reflect and remind ourselves why we became nurses.
“Other nurses inspired me, and it’s important that this continues and we act as role models to inspire the next generation of nurses.
“We all need to remember why we do what we do and be able to say, ‘I’m proud to be a nurse. I know I make a difference’.”
Delegates at the event discussed the new nursing framework and shared success stories of high-quality patient care in Cumbria.
