The college achieved an overall satisfaction score of 93.5 per cent – a rise on last year’s 86 per cent, and taking them from 16th to second – in the Skills Funding Agency’s National Student Satisfaction Survey.
The survey is managed externally and a sample of students from every College in the country are questioned to gauge their feelings on their learning establishment, courses and tutors. More than 500 students attending Kendal College replied to the survey with an overwhelmingly positive response.
Maggie Cawthorn, Director of Curriculum at Kendal College – a partner of Choose Cumbria – said: “This is an outstanding achievement for the College and we’re obviously delighted with these fantastic results. There is nothing better as a tutor than when you feel that your students really appreciate what you are doing, so we’re all feeling very proud right now.”
The college that claimed the overall top spot was Richmond Adult Community College in Surrey with a 94.8 per cent satisfaction rating.
