An historic pub in the centre of Penrith is up for sale for £675,000.

Dockray Hall has a rich history, dating back to the 15th century.

It was home to Richard III prior to his ascent to the English throne and has been run as an inn since 1719.

It still features original oak panelling and fireplaces, Dockray Hall has been well maintained following sympathetic restorations by the current owners.

Comprising two bars and a snug, it offers seating for over 80 people, with additional outside seating available on the patio to the front of the property.

The pub’s food offering focuses on modern British cuisine using fresh, local and seasonal produce, alongside a full range of local ales, including Loweswater Gold.

The thriving business has been recognised with multiple recent award wins, most notably Tourism Pub of the Year at the 2018 Cumbria Tourism Awards and Food & Drink of the Year at the 2018 Penrith Star of Business Awards.
