Three Cumbrian firms triumphed at the prestigious Family Business of the Year Awards on Thursday, June 2.
English Lakes Hotels Resorts and Venues scooped the Family Business of the Year Award for Hotels and Leisure at the glitzy ceremony held at the May Fair Hotel in London.
Ambleside holiday cottage firm Heart of The Lakes and Playdale Playgrounds also won awards.
Simon Berry, managing director of the English Lakes Hotels, said: “Winning is a real feather in the cap for the entire team.

“It’s been fantastic to gain national recognition for what we are doing.”
English Lakes Hotels Resorts and Venues – a partner of Choose Cumbria - operates the Low Wood and Waterhead hotels at Ambleside, the Wild Boar at Crook, Lancaster House in Lancaster, and the Midland in Morecambe.
