The Conference and Events Officer is an important role assisting in the provision of professional services for the University.  A high priority is given to the creation of effective working relationships between the post holder and other contacts in the University as appropriate. 

You will demonstrate professionalism, technical competence, good interpersonal and networking skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team. You will at all times operate within established University regulations and procedures. You will need understanding of and be committed to the success of a large, complex University.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the conference office at the campus you are based and within the wider Campus Services team for assisting with all aspects of the day-to-day running of the service to ensure implementation of, and adherence to University policies and procedures. This includes contributing to the planning, organisation, implementation and monitoring of Service support systems and procedures and covering for other members of the Campus Services team (e.g. Accommodation Officer or Domestic Services Team Leader as appropriate) when they are on leave. 

You will be required to maintain close and effective links with a large number of sections and staff within the college, but especially with the University Timetabling Officer and colleagues in Catering, Estates, Student Accommodation, Domestic Services, Finance and Marketing. 

You will be expected to be on site to a minimum of four days per week.

Expected Starting Salary:  £21,220 (pro rata) with incremental progression up to £24,565 (pro rata)
