A dream came true for three Cumbrian students who had their Dream Placements at Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, a partner of Choose South Cumbria, last week.
Amy Scott, 18, and Agrima Rohatgi, 16, from Keswick School, and Holly Evans, 17, from Whitehaven Academy spent time with every level of the Trust’s management, as well as speaking to ward and community staff.
Holly and Agrima both hope to go into medicine and Amy would like to go into HR.
Amy said: “To come into such a big organisation and for everyone to be so kind has been really nice. The whole organisation is full of sprit; it’s all about helping people. It’s lovely that everyone has such positive views on their jobs.
“It was useful to hear about the different routes people have taken in their careers and good to see how determined everyone is.”
Here, they share their experiences of their Dream Placements, set up through the Centre for Leadership Performance.
Lynn Marsland, Director of Workforce and Organisational Development, explains what the Dream Placements have taught Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
